September 11, 2010:  Dr. Darryl DelHousaye, President of Phoenix Seminary

After 25 years as Senior Pastor of Scottsdale Bible Church in Arizona, Dr. Darryl DelHousaye (pronounced DEL-who-say) assumed the position of full-time President of Phoenix Seminary in February of 2006. Holding degrees from Talbot Theological Seminary and Western Seminary, he comes well-prepared to share God's truth in a practical and scholarly manner. 

Dr. DelHousaye's early background as a youth pastor at Grace Community Church in southern California, his six years as senior pastor of First Baptist Church of San Lorenzo Valley in northern California, and 25 years as Senior Pastor of Scottsdale Bible Church give him broad experience within the Christian community. Combining biblical truth with an engaging sense of humor to various age groups, Darryl is able to communicate effectively with all generations.

Dr. DelHousaye speaks from a wide range of subjects, including marriage and parenting with his wife, Holly, and is a renowned expository Bible teacher.

Married since 1970, Darryl and Holly have two married sons, John (Tiffany), a professor at Phoenix Seminary, and Kent (Stephanie), lead pastor at Northwest Community Church. They also love being grandparents to Livia, Joslyn, Tate, Ethan and Christian.

Dr. DelHousaye has authored Today for Eternity, Ask Pastor Darryl: 121 Answers to Frequently Asked Bible Questions, Servant Leadership: The Seven Distinctive Characteristics of Servant Leadership and The Personal Journal of Solomon: a Commentary of Ecclesiastes for the Common Reader. He also authored the study notes for the Book of Acts in the Nelson NKJVStudy Bible published by Thomas Nelson Publishers.
